Privacy Policy and EULA for 2Sync Consumer Games
Information about 2Sync end user apps (House Defender, Mixed Snow Worlds, The Last Galaxy, Elven Arrows)
Privacy Policy
Introduction
2Sync GmbH (hereafter referred to as “2Sync”) is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and process personal information when you use one or more of our store games: House Defender, Mixed Snow Worlds, The Last Galaxy, or Elven Arrows.
Our data processing practices align with applicable data protection regulations, and we ensure that personal data is processed only to the extent necessary for the intended functionality of our games. This document provides transparency regarding the types of data collected, their purposes, and how they are handled.
Additionally, the general privacy policy of 2Sync, which can be accessed at https://2sync.io/dataprivacy, remains applicable.
Types of Data Collected: Which kinds of data are collected?
When using our games, different types of data may be collected, depending on the features you access. This includes data that is required for core functionalities such as multiplayer interactions, spatial adaptation, and leaderboard integration.
User Profile Data
Through Meta platform features, we receive certain user profile data, including the user’s name, unique user ID, and profile picture. This data is solely used for the purpose of displaying user avatars within the game environment. The information is retrieved dynamically during gameplay and is not stored on our servers.
Age Group Information
Meta automatically provides us with the user’s age group classification. However, we do not process, store, or utilize this information in any manner. It is neither used for game adaptation nor for any form of user profiling.
Room and Spatial Data
Certain game features require spatial data to adapt the application to your surroundings. This includes room dimensions, wall positions, and object sizes, which are either manually entered by the user or scanned using the device’s capabilities. The data is stored exclusively on the user’s local device to facilitate seamless gameplay across sessions.
In Mixed Snow Worlds, the game also makes use of Anchor IDs, which are obtained via Meta’s platform features. These IDs enable Shared Spatial Anchors, allowing for synchronized virtual object placement in multiplayer mode. This feature is only available in Mixed Snow Worlds and is not utilized in other 2Sync titles.
Multiplayer and Network Data
For online multiplayer functionality, our games integrate Photon PUN services provided by Exit Games Inc. (USA) and Exit Games GmbH (Germany). When participating in multiplayer sessions, the user’s unique ID and IP address are processed to enable lobby creation, player matchmaking, and real-time interaction.
Photon ensures secure processing and does not permanently store this data. The servers handling these interactions are located either in the European Union (Netherlands) or the United States, depending on the user’s geographical region. Once a multiplayer session ends, all related data is deleted automatically.
User Scores and Leaderboards
In-game high scores may be processed to enhance the competitive experience. Usernames and associated scores are displayed via Meta’s platform features, which also handle data storage. 2Sync does not store, process, or retain any leaderboard data on its own servers. All score-related information is managed directly through Meta’s infrastructure.
Purpose of Data Processing: How does the app use you user data?
The data we collect is solely used to provide an immersive and functional gaming experience. No personal data is collected beyond what is necessary for gameplay. We do not engage in behavioral tracking, advertising personalization, or third-party data sharing beyond the required service providers mentioned in this document.
User profile data, including names, unique user IDs, and profile pictures, is used solely to display avatars within the game. This information is accessed dynamically via Meta’s platform features during the game session and is not stored on our servers.
Room data are processed locally on the user’s device to facilitate game mechanics that require spatial adaption. This data enables virtual objects to be correctly positioned in the environment and remains entirely on the user’s device. No transmission to 2Sync or external servers occurs.
For multiplayer functionality, Photon PUN services process user IDs and IP addresses to facilitate matchmaking and game lobby management. These interactions are required for real-time gameplay and do not result in any persistent data storage. Data processing takes place on Photon’s servers, which are located either in the EU (Netherlands) or the USA, depending on the user's region.
Leaderboard data, such as high scores, is processed and displayed using Meta’s platform features. All leaderboard-related data is managed directly by Meta, and 2Sync does not store or process these records independently.
To ensure the functionality of online multiplayer and leaderboards, our games use third-party services with strict data protection measures in place:
- Photon PUN (Exit Games Inc. & Exit Games GmbH): Handles multiplayer session data, including user IDs and IP addresses. Data is processed only for the duration of the session and is not permanently stored. Photon servers operate in either the EU or the USA, depending on the user’s region. You can find Photon's privacy policy here: https://dashboard.photonengine.com/en-US/account/privacyandcookiepolicy
- Meta Platform Services: Provides user profile data, leaderboard management, and age group classification. All data processing and storage for these features are managed by Meta, in accordance with their privacy policies.
Beyond these essential service providers, no personal data is transferred to third parties. 2Sync does not engage in behavioral tracking, advertising, or external data sharing.
Data Retention and Deletion
As 2Sync does not store any user data outside the end-user device or Meta’s platform, the retention and deletion of data are automatically handled through the following means:
- Locally stored game data (such as room information) is retained only on the user’s device. It can be deleted by uninstalling the game, which removes all associated files.
- Multiplayer session data is erased automatically once a game session concludes.
- Leaderboard data is managed by Meta. Users who wish to remove their scores should refer to Meta’s privacy settings to request deletion.
Since we do not have access to user data beyond the temporary session, we are unable to process individual data deletion requests directly. If you have any concerns regarding data privacy, you are welcome to contact us at Hello@2Sync.io.
