Prompt Your Room Into a New World

The rooftop terrace of our co-founder Moritz Loos became a pirate ship. Then a sci-fi station. Then an ice world, and a medieval tavern. And nobody modelled a single asset.

Building a VR world usually means days of design work — modelling props, placing them, dressing the whole scene by hand. So we tried the opposite approach: describe the world you want, and let the room build itself.

Here’s how it splits up. Our SDK handles the part that has to be precise: it scans the physical space and works out where everything sits and how large it can be. Generative AI takes care of the look. A language model plans the scene, Hyper3D | Rodin generates a 3D model for every real object in the room, and Blockade Labs creates the skybox around it.

The whole thing comes down to four steps:

  • Scan the room.
  • Prompt the world you want.
  • Grab a coffee.
  • Come back and play it.

To be clear: this is an internal experiment, not part of the SDK (yet). Each world takes roughly 30 minutes to generate.
